Condemning congress political parties cadres who attacked college students in Trichy, students of Annamalai university Arts & Science and Agricultural college boycotts classes. Later more than 50 students staged a day-long token hunger strike in front of the Puma temple.
Then at evening 5 P.M. Professor Sellapan came and ended the fast by providing juice to the students.
